TANCET Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for MBA admission based on the TANCET exam, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum aggregate score requirement is relaxed to 45%.

Eligible candidates must have completed their education in one of the following patterns:

• 10 + 2 + 3-year degree pattern
• 10 + 2 + 4-year degree pattern
• 10 + 2 + 5-year degree pattern
• 10 + 3-year diploma + 3-year degree pattern
• 10 + 2 + B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm.
• 10 + 2 + AMIE
• 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE

Candidates must be Indian citizens or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the TANCET exam.

Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree through distance education are also eligible to apply.

Candidates with BE/BTech degrees obtained through distance/weekend learning programs are not eligible.

The Common Admission Test held annually by the IIMs is the most common entrance exam for MBA admissions to top-notch B-schools. CAT 2024 will allow students to apply for admission to IIMs among other top institutes for the batch of 2025-27.
