IIT (BHU) Admission Procedure

IIT (BHU) undertakes admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses through written entrance examinations. All IITs conducts admission to undergraduate programmes with a secure Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). Candidates qualifying JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination will be eligible for a four year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree, and a five year integrated dual degree based on Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. Admission to M.Tech.programme is conducted through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

IIT (BHU) Fee Structure

Tuition fee is waived off for economically backward students with income limit less than 1 lakh rupees per annum.

The other economically backward candidates with family income between 1 lakh rupees to 5 lakhs rupees per annum will get remission of two-third of the tuition fee.

Placement Statistics of IIT (BHU) 2019

The year 2019 marked the placement history for IIT (BHU) with the highest offered package of 1.04 crores. There were a total of 1063 engineering students appearing for the placement drive out of which 762 candidates bagged a job offer. The institute witnessed top-notch recruiters including Oracle, TATA Steel, EXL, WIPRO, and DMT. The placement contribution in all streams is growing substantially every year.
