WBJEE Exam

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or the WBJEE is an exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to engineering institutions in the state. The test is for those who wish to seek admission in engineering course. Every year lakhs of students try their luck to get into various private and government institutes in West Bengal.

 WBJEE Eligibility

The candidates have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria for entrance exam.

  • Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized institution with English, Physics and Mathematics as subjects. General: at least 45% marks in qualifying exam
  • ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC: at least is 40% with minimum of 30% in English exam.

 WBJEE Exam Pattern

The examination consists of three papers in Physics-Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. All the exams are conducted on the same day. The questions are of multiple choice type.

Physics-Chemistry

It is a 2 hours exam .
There are 80 questions of 100 marks in it.

 

Mathematics

It is a 2 hours exam.
There are 75 questions of 100 marks.

 

Biology

It is 2 hours 30 minutes exam.

There are 115 questions of 150 marks.

Each correct answer attracts 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. For every unanswered question,marks are neither be awarded nor be deducted.

  WBJEE Syllabus

The candidates are tested on various on topics and concepts in Physics, Chemistry, mathematics and biology. The syllabus comprises of the topics studied till class XI and XII.
