WBJEE 2021

WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) is a state-level common entrance test organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. You can secure admission into an undergraduate Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy programme offered by various colleges and universities of West Bengal. You will be eligible for admissions into a total of 104 government colleges and self-financed Engineering and Technological institutes within the state. Admissions to the participating institutes will be offered to you on the basis of your rank, through a common counselling held after the announcement of the result. The Board has been awarded the status of Statutory Body enacted vide "West Bengal Act XIV of 2014" named as "The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board Act, 2014".

WBJEE 2021 Eligibility

WBJEEB has prescribed certain eligibility criteria for WBJEE aspirants. Candidates are required to comply with WBJEE 2021 eligibility criteria in order to successfully apply for the Joint Entrance Exam. Candidates failing to comply with the eligibility norms will not be allowed to appear for the exam. WBJEE eligibility criteria might vary for different courses and at the institute level.

The University of Calcutta Jute & Fibre Technology Course Pass ‘10+2’ or equivalent Examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% (40% for Reserve Category Students) marks in all the above three subjects taken together, individual pass marks (both in theory & practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects and with at least 30 % marks in English
The Jadavpur University (Faculty of Engineering & Technology) All available courses including Bachelor of Pharmacy and except the Five-Year degree course in Architecture Pass ‘10+2’ or equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (45% for Reserve Category Students) marks in all the above three subjects taken together, individual pass marks (both in theory & practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects and with at least 30 % marks in English.
The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course Candidate must have passed the Qualifying Examination i.e. the ‘10+2’ examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular Class mode.
The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course Must have obtained at least 50% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to WBJEE-2019 Information Bulletin Page: 12/62 reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English taken together.
The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course The Board of the said Qualifying Examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.
The Neotia University All available B.Tech courses except Marine Engineering Pass ‘10+2’ or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks in the above three subjects taken together.
The Neotia University B.Tech in Marine Engineering Pass ‘10+2’ or equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks in the above three subjects taken together and at least 50% in English.

WBJEE 2021 Exam Pattern

In order to crack any exam gathering information about the exam pattern, sections, weightage, evaluation scheme, duration, plays very important role. WBJEE 2021 exam will be comprised of Multiple-Choice Questions. There will be two papers in WBJEE 2021: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry combined). Candidates taking part in Paper 2 will be able to take admission in pharmacy courses only, candidates taking part in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be eligible for taking admission in Architecture/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy courses. Aspirants taking part in only paper 1 will not get any Rank.

Candidates will get 120 minutes for each paper i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

For WBJEE Exam category 1: There will be only one correct option for each question, 1 mark will be given for a correct answer while an incorrect answer will fetch -0.25 marks.

For WBJEE Exam category 2: There will be only one correct option for each question, 2 marks will be given for a correct answer while an incorrect answer will fetch -0.5 marks.

For WBJEE Exam category 3: There will be one or more correct option(s) for each question, 2 marks will be given for correct answer while incorrect answer will fetch 0 marks while for partially correct answers candidates will get marks as per this formula: 2 x (no. of correct options marked/total no. of correct options).

WBJEE 2021 Counselling

WBJEE 2021 Counselling dates are yet to be released. To participate in WBJEE counselling, qualified Students have to register themselves online. After applying online, you have to pay the counselling fees online and after remitting the fee, you can proceed to fill your choices for your branch and institute preference.
There may be three rounds in WBJEE Counselling. Students online registration will be valid for the three rounds of WBJEE Counselling only.
All candidates who have been allotted a seat are required to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee using e- Challan of Allahabad Bank or Debit/Credit Card as per the following and then download the Provisional Seat Allotment letter. The category wise seat acceptance fee is given below:

Detailed information regarding WBJEE 2019 Counselling:

WBJEE 2019 Counselling: Round 1

Candidates who were allotted a seat had to report to Reporting Centres for document verification, initial fee payment, collection of allotment cards, etc. Candidates had to take provisional admission at the RCs from June 24 to July 01, 2019, failing which their seat allotment shall stand cancelled. Candidates participating in the first round of counselling will not be considered for further online rounds of seat allotment.

WBJEE 2019 Counselling: Round 2

Candidates must note that there were no fresh registration and choice filling in 2nd round of counselling. Choices of main counselling were considered in this round of allotment. The candidates must report to the RCs, pay fees etc. between July 05 to 07. The criteria for eligibility and non-eligibility for WBJEE counselling round 2 is as given below:

Group-I: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round. Not reported at RC after seat allotment in 1st round
Group-II: Registered candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counselling and reported at the reporting centre but their allotted seat has been cancelled due to non-fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Reported & Withdrawn from RC.
Group-III: Registered candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counselling and reported at the reporting centre and completed admission formalities and also submitted willingness “Yes” for up-gradation in the subsequent rounds of counselling. Became non-eligible due to non-conformity of documents.
Group-IV: Candidates who were allotted a seat in the first round of counselling and reported at the reporting centre and completed admission formalities and submitted willingness “NO” for up-gradation. Their old allotted seat will be retained in the same category or in the upgraded category.

Business Rule for WBJEE 2019 Seat Allotment

Group-I & II: All the choices will be processed. They have to report in person to the RCs for provisional admission within the given period of time.
Group-III: Only the higher preferred choices will be processed. Those candidates need not report at the reporting centre for document verification unless they desire a change in their willingness from "Yes-Upgradation" to "No-Upgradation".
Group-IV: only the previous allotted choices will be processed for category upgradation. Such candidates are not required to report at the reporting centre.

WBJEE 2019 Counselling: Round 3

The 3rd round of WBJEE seat allotment result declared on July 12. Candidates have to report to any reporting centres to complete admission formalities between July 13 and 14, 2019. The eligibility criteria and Business rule for WBJEE counselling 2019 round 3 are similar to that of round 2.
After each round of counselling, candidates who have been allotted seats have to finally report to allotted Institute as per schedule to complete the online admission process.
