IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Main Exam (November 05, 2017) - Analysis (Slot - I)

IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Main Exam 2017 was held on November 05, 2017. There were 200 questions spread across 5 sections namely, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language/Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. All sections except the ‘language section’ were available bilingually. A candidate had to attempt either the section on English Language or Hindi Language. Each question had 5 options, with negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question. The paper had to be attempted in 2 hours (120 minutes).

The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult. There were 4 sets of DI based on table, pie-chart, bar graph and caselet. In the number series questions, wrong number out of the given series had to be identified. The arithmetic part featured questions on Profit & Loss, SI & CI, Time & Work, Averages, Percentages, Ages, Ratio, Boats & Streams, Probability, etc.

General Awareness Section of IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Main Exam 2017:

General Awareness was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Most of the questions were from current affairs including government schemes, banking related schemes.

Computer Knowledge Section of IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Main Exam 2017:

This section was easy to attempt. The main areas of focus were Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Networking, Basic Hardware and Software.
