IP University conducted its Common Entrance Exam (CET) – for admission to its 3-year Degree Program in Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) on the May 26, 2018.
There were 150 questions in the paper, which had to be answered in 150 minutes. The structure of the paper was on expected lines – English, General Awareness and Business Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Management Aptitude and Communication Skills. The overall level of difficulty of the paper was moderate. Each correct answer fetched 4 marks while one incorrect answer resulted in a deduction of 1 mark. There were a total of 4 answer choices for every question.

This section mainly focused on Static GK. Mainly the focus was on Science. There were questions on history, geography, sports etc. There were 3-4 questions on current affairs.
The section mainly focused on Grammar and Vocabulary. The Vocabulary section evaluated the student’s skills in Synonyms and fill in the blanks. Apart from vocabulary based questions, there were questions on Grammar topics such as choosing the correct part of the sentence. In Reading Comprehension, there was one passage and 8 questions were based on it. Of these, 3 questions tested the vocabulary proficiency of the candidates. Most of the questions were fact based. The level of difficulty of the Reading Comprehension questions was moderate.

Overall difficulty level of the questions was easy. The questions that came in this section were mainly from Arrangements, Analogy and Series. Apart from this there were a few questions from Odd One Out, Clock and Calendar, directions, blood relations etc.

Overall, the level of difficulty of questions was moderate. There were many questions asked from Communication area and Management Aptitude which includes questions from Economics and a few questions from Business Awareness. There 3-4 questions on taglines. Questions based on business terms were also there. There were 3-4 questions based on communication which was based on expected lines.
