Course design |
| |
Designed
by experts who have themselves been
successful at writing the tests and
are constantly in touch with changing
test patterns. For instance, our CAT
course development team is headed by
experts who are themselves IIM alumni.
They are full-time employees, always
available to students, constantly
reviewing the courses and student
feedback for continuous improvement.
We have a large in-house course
development team comprising highly
qualified experts in various fields
- PhDs, Masters and enthusiastic graduates
- we have them all! |

Product testing |
| |
Each product
goes through extensive student testing,
normally over a 3-6 month period. Using
our access to over 60 cities across
India and the Middle East, we test each
product across a sample of students
from varied backgrounds - diverse graduate
degrees (engineers, commerce graduates,
arts graduate, etc.) and varied income
profiles. No product is launched until
it is successfully tested. No product
is offered for licensing till we have offered
it ourselves for at least one full season.

Our product pricing
reflects our premium quality and track
record. We will not offer a product
for licensing unless we are convinced
that it is commercially viable, and
that students will get value for their money.

& marketing kit |

You will receive a
complete sales & marketing kit for each
product you license. As a matter of fact,
you (and your sales team) will become part
of our national sales team, and receive all
the relevant material and schemes.
Our sales team will work with you to formulate
the sales & marketing strategy for your
region.

Comprehensive
training program for mentors |
| |
We expect
you to hire your own faculty, as per
the requirements we define. Once hired,
we offer each tutor the same rigorous
training that we put all our own mentors
through.
The Inner Circle program is an in-house
training program designed by experts,
and a compulsory requirement for every
tutor in Career Launcher. Mentors are
trained in all aspects of teaching "the
CL way" through an off-site program
that can be of 10 to 15 days and is
unique in the education industry. Inner
Circle offers sessions by CL faculty,
business heads and eminent personalities. |

Marketing
& advertising support |
| |
We run nation-wide
marketing campaigns for all our products
- both in the national and local media.
We have long-term relationships with
large media houses, and regularly conduct
events with Education Times (Times of
India), Horizons (HT), Khaleej
Times (UAE) and several other publications.
We also employ a large sales force that
understands the pulse of the market. |

Administrative
& start-up support |
| |
We will depute
a senior partnership officer to spend
time with you and work out all the initial
start-up issues. You will be invited
to our Head Office in Delhi, and will
be taken for a tour of our centers.
You will also get to meet a few of our
current business partners.
As an organization, we are deeply committed
to technology and most of our internal
systems and processes (sales, finance,
marketing and faculty) are all IT-enabled.
We will assist you in joining this network,
and train you and your team in these
processes. |

What We Expect From You? |

Your personal full-time
involvement |
|
| |
We expect you to be
hands-on and fully involved in running the
business on a day-to-day basis. All our business
partners are totally focused and many have
discontinued other ventures they were associated
with when they took on the CL franchise.
The principal roles you will need to fulfill
are in the domains of sales, faculty, counselor
and general administration, each of which
will be explained in detail by our Partnership
team.

Your role as a faculty
member |
|
| |
We insist that you
be a part of the faculty team and take a minimum
number of classes every week. Each and every
CL employee above certain seniority level
has to complete a minimum number of teaching
hours every month - this is the way we work
(even our Chairman and Managing Director cannot
escape this rule!). We expect you to have a
good educational background, be passionate
about education and motivated (and competent)
to take classroom sessions to the desired
CL quality levels. |

Basic infrastructure |
|
| |
You need to provide
the following basic infrastructure: |

- A classroom with a minimum floor
area of 800 sq. ft. in a high visibility
area (centrally located)
- The premises could either be owned
by you or leased for at least 3
years
- Manpower - both for sales and
teaching
- Faculty to conduct classroom sessions
- Front office equipment
- Basic classroom equipment
