  Group Task
The candidates were asked to pick out a topic from a bunch of folded chits. The only lady in the group was given the honor of drawing the paper. The task that we got was to "Organize a one day conference for students regarding managerial challenges in the 21st century".

The group of 9 was extremely well mannered and co-operative. I started the process by outlining the critical aspects that we might cover during the time allocated. I was supported by another candidate who took my views further. We could steer the group towards establishing points in a consensus. Two silent members were invited to give their opinions which they did. Overall, the task progressed on a positive note. At the end, the group was asked to write down their points for the task and submit their paper.

I was very fortunate to get such a co-operative group which made the task very easy for everyone involved. Assertion was the tone employed by all with no hint of unnecessary aggression.

Interview
The interview lasted for around 12-15 minutes.

The panelists were more interested in knowing me as a person and the kind of work that I had done rather than any academic questions or current affairs.

The interviewers wanted to know the reason why I chose to take up managements studies after having established a company and in their own words 'being a pillar for my firm'. I was able to convince them that taking up management studies was part of a well chalked out plan and rationally justified my decision.

The whole experience was very relaxed because of the surroundings. The interview was conducted in one of the rooms at the IIT Guest House. The room had two beds with the luggage of the panelists on them! The interviewers themselves were seated on lounge sofas and faced the candidate who was seated in a simple chair. The overall tone of the interview was relaxed and casual on their part.
