For the NMIMS group discussion and interview, anyone with a strong knowledge of current affairs would have been at an advantage. A complete understanding of your self is a an absolute must to succeed in these interviews.

 
     
  Group Discussion
The group was given two topics to chose from:
  • Military training should be compulsory for all.
  • Gender inequality exists in our society

The group chose the first topic. The quality of discussion was good, both in terms of participation and the points suggested by the members. The members came up with a number of international examples and alternatives to military training, such as NCC.

The duration of the GD was 20 minutes.

 
     
 

Interview
The complete focus of the interview was on current affairs. The interviewers asked a lot of question on the latest news, especially news related to the economy.

During the interview, I was given a hypothetical industrial problem. The scenario was:

  • What would come to my mind if I saw a group of workers talking in a group on the shop floor?
  • If the group had a problem, would I as a manager try to solve it or leave it as a matter that concerns only the workers?

The general questions were on:

  • Hobbies
  • Personal strengths and weaknesses
