RBI Assistant Mains Exam 2016 Analysis, January 24, 2017

Today (January 24, 2017) was Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Assistant Main Exam 2016. There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 120 minutes. There were five sections, namely, Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. All the sections except the section on English Language were available bilingually, that is, both in English and in Hindi. Each question had 5 options. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to any given question.

General Awareness section of RBI Assistant Main Exam 2016:

In general, the difficulty level of this section was easy. This section saw a mix of questions from Current Affairs and Banking. Some questions were from Static Part. 10-15 were asked from Banking and 15-20 questions were asked from current affairs. A candidate could have easily attempted at least 25 questions with good accuracy.

Computer Knowledge Section of RBI Assistant Main Exam 2016:

This section comprised questions of moderate level. The questions tested candidates’ basic knowledge of computers. The questions were based on Internet, Microsoft Office, Networking, Hardware and Software. A candidate who has basic knowledge of computers could have easily attempted at-least 25 questions.
