Today (January 20, 2017) was State Bank of India (SBI) Specialist Officer (IT) Exam 2016. There were 200 questions, which had to be answered in 135 minutes. There were four sections, namely, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Professional Knowledge (IT). All the sections except the section on English Language were available bilingually, that is, both in English and in Hindi. Each question had 5 options. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to any given question.

This section comprised questions of easy-moderate level. Each question carried 2 marks and so, there were 50 questions for 100 marks. A candidate could have easily attempted at least 30 questions with good accuracy. The questions were based on Data Base (Oracle and SQL), Data Warehousing, MIS, Data Mining, Operating System, SDLC, E-commerce, Networking, Information Security and Software Engineering etc.
