Staff Selection Commission (Combined Graduate Level) Tier-II (Exam 2015) - October 25, 2015

SSC CGL- Tier II Exam for 2015 was conducted on October 25, 2015. The paper was slightly more difficult than that of the previous year's.

Paper - I (Quantitative Abilities)
The paper comprised of questions from a variety of areas. A substantial part of the paper was Arithmetic, which had questions from Ratio/Alligation, Profit & Loss, Averages, Time-Speed-Distance, Time & Work and Percentages. Also, a lot of questions were from Number System, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration and Trigonometry. A good number of these questions could have been done by looking at the options carefully. Except for some questions in Algebra and Geometry which needed some systematic approach, rest of the questions were typical SSC types. There was, however, 1 question in which none of the given options was correct.

In comparison with QA questions of CGL Tier II, 2014, these questions were more calculation intensive.

Compared to last year’s SSC CGL Tier II question paper, this year’s Tier II question paper is marginally tougher. Therefore, it is expected that the cut off marks for this year’s Tier II question paper will be 5-6 marks lesser than last year’s. However, it has to be noted that this year’s Tier I was easier compared to last year’s Tier I question paper. So, the cut off marks for this year’s Tier I is 5-6 marks more than last year’s Tier I. So, the overall expected cut off marks of Tier I + Tier II will remain approximately the same as last year’s.
