Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS RRB notification on its official website. It has notified 12000+ vacancies in the IBPS RRB notification. The application process for the upcoming IBPS Regional Rural Bank (RRB) Exam will commence from 8th June 2021. This article details all the information that is notified in the IBPS RRB Notification including the IBPS RRB selection process, eligibility, the application process, exam pattern, exam syllabus and all the important things that you must know if you’re interested in writing this exam.
In the IBPS RRB Notification 2021, IBPS has notified 12000+ vacancies across various posts. The IBPS RRB exam is held annually to recruit suitable candidates for various Group A and Group B posts mentioned as under:
IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Result 2021 is out on the official website. The Office Assistant exam was conducted on 8th and 14th August 2021 and the Officer Scale-I prelims examination was conducted on 1st and 7th August 2021. Direct Link to check your score card → Check Here
IBPS increased the vacancy for the second-time in a single month. IBPS has released the updated state-wise vacancies. The current number of vacancies stand at 12965. It is still an indicative list where many banks have not reported the vacancies. Hence, these vacancies can be further increased.

IBPS mentions the eligibility criteria for writing the RRB Exam in the IBPS RRB Notification that is released on their website. As per the recent IBPS RRB Notification, the eligibility criteria on different parameters including Nationality, Age, Educational Qualification etc is mentioned below:
According to the official notification, A candidate must be either -
a Citizen of India or
a subject of Nepal or
a subject of Bhutan or
a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling
in India or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
For Officer Scale- III- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 40 years.
For Officer Scale-II- Candidates should be above 21 years and below 32 years.
For Officer Scale- I- Candidates should be above 18 years and below 30 years.
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Candidates should be above 18 years and below 30 years.

A few things that you must note for IBPS RRB Online application are:
The application is active from 8th June 2021 till 28th June 2021.
Please do not wait for the last date, fill the application form within the time duration.
The application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD/ XS is INR 175/-
The application fee for General/ OBC/ EWS is INR 850/-
The IBPS RRB Notification also mentions the selection process, exam pattern and syllabus of the exam. As per the latest IBPS RRB Notification, the first two rounds for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I/Office Assistant would be the same and would comprise of:
Prelims or Phase-I
Mains or Phase-II
The third round, however, differs for both these posts. For RRB Officer Scale-I, the last phase would be an Interview round, and for RRB Office Assistant, the third or the final phase would consist of a language proficiency test.

Penalty for Wrong Answer: There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each incorrect marked answer, one-fourth the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. However, no marks will be deducted for the questions that are left blank.
