Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy For SBI Clerk Prelims

Logical Reasoning:

  • In the Logical Reasoning section, it is important to have a basic understanding of each of the topics. 

  • Hence, develop a basic understanding of how to solve the question of each type. 

  • You can practice the questions from any Logical Reasoning book or preferably enrol in our banking course where each topic is taught from a very basic level.

  • Next, practice each topic extremely diligently and supplement it with sectional mock tests.

  • In addition to this, write one mock test each week, assess your weak areas and improve it in the coming week.

Maths:

  • Maths is a comparatively easy section than Reasoning.

Subject-wise Preparation Strategy For SBI Clerk Mains Exam

General/Financial Awareness

  • Follow the news and learn the current affairs especially on Finance/Banking/Economic affairs of the last 8-12 months.

  • For Static GK, you can refer to any GK capsule. However, make sure you cross-verify the answers as they’re sometimes wrong.

General English

  • The level of difficulty is a notch higher in SBI Clerk Mains Exam than in the Prelims.

  • However, since the topic asked is the same, the preparation strategy is pretty much the same. 

Quantitative Aptitude

  • Again, the difficulty level of Maths is way above the Prelims level, hence your preparation needs to be more focused.

  • Make sure you remember all the formulas of mensuration. 

  • It is advisable to not skip any topic completely. At least have a surface-level understanding of all the topics so that you can attempt the easy questions from all the topics.

Reasoning Ability & Computer Science

  • Focus on Puzzles and Machine Input-Output types of questions as they’re asked in a set format.

  • Make sure you enhance your speed and accuracy.

  • Be very mindful of negative marking. Strive to score higher for each section

  • Static questions are asked from the computer and aptitude section.
