The admission to the IIMK BMS program will be a detailed process. The detailed admission process and steps are mentioned below.
Applicants are required to appear for the IIMK BMS Aptitude Test (IIMK BMS AT) 2026. The test is scheduled to be conducted in the first week of May. It comprises two sections assessing the applicant's aptitude in Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability.
The test will adhere to a multiple-choice format and will be administered at designated centres. It will be conducted as a computer-based examination.
Candidates who have valid JEE (Mains) scores or valid SAT or ACT scores are exempted from appearing for the IIMK-BMS AT. Such candidates will be shortlisted based on their standardised test scores. Applicants must ensure that official test results are submitted at the time of application.
From the eligible candidates, a shortlist of candidates in each category will be prepared based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed based on the test score performance and the academic performance in Class XII /Diploma or equivalent, and the marks obtained in Class X.
The short-listed candidates must appear for a Personal Interview (PI). IIM Kozhikode will conduct the personal interviews in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and New Delhi. The entire process will last for a half-day (morning or afternoon). During the PI process, the panel will evaluate the candidates on their academic efforts and disposition, general awareness and social disposition, attitude, personality and communication skills, and also overall fit for the program. The interview is expected to take around 15 minutes per candidate.
After the Personal Interview (PI), a final score will be prepared based on the candidate's scores in the interview, standardized scores from the entrance test, and academic performance in the preceding exams as reported by the candidate. A merit list will be created for each category using the final scores.
Admission offers will be given to candidates based on the merit list, following the Government of India reservation norms.
IIM Kozhikode will follow the Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).
Reservations are available as per norms for the following categories of candidates. Please opt for the relevant category and submit the required document while filling out the IIMK BMS application form.
