NPAT 2026 Registration Process

Candidates can register for the NPAT 2026 exam online by visiting the official NMIMS website (nmims.edu). The registration is available only in online mode. Follow the step-by-step process below:

• Visit www.nmims.edu. Click on 'Apply Now' to create a new account.
• Select the relevant exam category (NMIMS-NPAT / NMIMS-CET / NMIMS-LAT / NMIMS-MST), schools, program preferences, and campus choices based on your eligibility.
• Multiple test categories, multiple schools, and up to 5 program preferences can be selected.
• Candidates can also select multiple retake attempts (maximum 1 main + 2 retakes per exam category) during registration.
• Pay the application fee online (credit / debit card / net banking). Only paid candidates will be allowed to schedule the exam.
• After successful registration and payment, schedule your exam by choosing a preferred test date and test centre.
• Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis based on test centre capacity.

After scheduling, a confirmation email will be sent from pearsonvueconfirmations@pearson.com to the candidate's registered email ID. A separate email will be sent for each exam category scheduled.

Important Notes for NPAT 2026 Registration

• Candidates can register only ONCE for each exam category. Duplicate registration will result in cancellation of both registrations and disqualification from the admission process.
• The name on the Aadhaar card and the NMIMS registration/admission form must be identical.
• Keep AAPAR ID / ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits) details ready before filling the registration form.
• The selected test centre and date cannot be changed under any circumstances once confirmed.
• Rescheduling or cancellation of the exam or registration is strictly not permitted.
• Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Physically challenged candidates must upload their Disability Certificate (from a Government-authorised hospital) at the time of online registration, prior to payment and scheduling.

The NMIMS-NPAT 2026 exam is a computer-based online test (CBT) conducted at authorised Pearson VUE test centres. The exam pattern for 2026 follows the same structure as the previous year, based on the SAT exam format. There is no negative marking.

NPAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring for NMIMS UG programs through NPAT 2026 must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the official notification. The program-wise eligibility is mentioned below.

General Eligibility

• Maximum age: 25 years at the time of admission (candidates above 25 are only eligible for B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. programs under NMIMS-LAT).
• Candidates appearing for or having passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible to apply.

Additional Eligibility Conditions

• All subject marks (aggregate of all subjects opted and appeared) must be declared - not best-of-4/5/6. The aggregate of all subjects will be considered for eligibility confirmation at the time of admission.
• Candidates must have passed all opted subjects. If any subject is marked 'ungraded' or 'fail' on the mark sheet, the candidate will not be eligible, even if the examining board declares them passed (exception: Cambridge Board).
• Candidates must have cleared Class 12 in a single attempt. Compartmentalised mark sheets will not be considered (exception: Cambridge Board).
• IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma candidates: A confirmed 24 grades/credits, passing 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 at Standard Level (SL), plus Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge (TOK), will be considered equivalent to 10+2.
• IB Career-related Program (IBCP) candidates for general strands (Arts, Commerce, Science, Law): 2 DP subjects with at least 1 at HL (minimum 3 points each), plus at least 3 Career Related Studies (CSR) courses from IB-approved partners.
• IB Career-related Program (IBCP) candidates for Engineering/Medicine strand: 3 DP subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or similar) with at least 1 at HL (minimum 3 points each), plus at least 3 CSR courses.
• Cambridge Board (A-Level) candidates: Minimum 3 subjects at Advanced Level will be considered for aggregate percentage. Ungraded subjects will not be counted.
• Candidates from international schools or overseas institutions must submit an AIU/certificate of equivalence (mandatory) confirming eligibility equivalent to 10+2.
• Candidates with GPA/CGPA must provide the certified equivalent percentage. For IB Board students, an official Indian conversion transcript is mandatory.
• Candidates who do not have their final mark sheet at the time of admission will be given 'Provisional Admission' based on predicted scores. Final mark sheet must be submitted within 7 working days of the result declaration. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission.

NPAT 2026 Admit Card

The NPAT 2026 admit card is generated automatically after the candidate successfully schedules their exam date and test centre on the registration portal. It is available for download from the candidate's dashboard on the NMIMS portal at any time before the exam date.

Key points regarding the NPAT 2026 admit card:

• The admit card displays the exam date, exam city, and complete address of the test centre.
• Candidates must carry a hard copy (printout) of the admit card to the exam centre. Failure to carry the admit card will result in entry being denied.
• The admit card serves as the primary ID at the test centre. As secondary ID, candidates must also carry a hard copy of any one of the following: Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence (learner's licence not accepted), or Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph.
• The name on the original government ID must exactly match the name on the admit card.
• The verification staff at the test centre will compare the photograph on the admit card with the candidate in person. Candidates must upload a recent photograph during registration.
• Candidates must report to the test centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
• Candidates will only be allowed to appear on the scheduled date and time. No rescheduling is permitted.

NMIMS NPAT 2026 Selection Process

The NMIMS NPAT selection process is straightforward. The merit list is compiled based on the candidate's performance in the CBT entrance examination and the qualifying examination (Class 12) results. The decision regarding the cut-off of the merit list rests solely with SVKM's NMIMS.

• For most programs under NPAT, the merit list is based on the NPAT entrance exam score. There is no written ability test (WAT) or group discussion (GD) component.
• For BBA (Finance), the merit list will be compiled based on performance in the entrance exam AND a personal interview.
• For Engineering programs (NMIMS-CET), candidates will be called for counselling as per merit. In the counselling session, admission to various specialisations is offered as per merit, choice, and availability.
• The highest marks among all attempts (main + retakes) will be considered for the respective school's merit process.
• Candidates must update their Class 12 results and upload a copy of their mark sheet as soon as results are declared. Failure to provide correct information will result in disqualification from the merit list.

Note: NMIMS will start a program only if a minimum of 20 candidates have taken admission. If this threshold is not met, tuition fees of admitted students will be refunded, or students will be offered admission to other programs based on seat availability.

NMIMS Program Fees 2026: Reference Guide

NMIMS Hostel Facility for Admitted Candidates

After completing the admission fee payment, admitted candidates may apply online for hostel accommodation through the NMIMS hostel application portal. Once the hostel application is approved, the candidate will receive a communication requesting payment of the hostel fee, which can be made online.

Hostel accommodation is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis at the Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Sanand (Ahmedabad) campuses.
