NMIMS NPAT 2026 FAQs

NPAT stands for National Test for Programs After Twelfth. It is conducted by SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) for UG admissions.

NMIMS NPAT 2026 registration opened on January 28, 2026 and will remain open until May 26, 2026. Registration is available only in online mode at nmims.edu.

Yes. As per the updated official notification, the NMIMS merit list considers both the candidate's CBT entrance exam score and qualifying examination (Class 12) results. The minimum eligibility for most programs is 50% aggregate in Class 12 (60% for BBA International Business with Kingston University). Candidates must ensure they enter accurate Class 12 marks in the registration form - incorrect information will result in disqualification.

A candidate is permitted 1 main attempt and up to 2 retakes per exam category - a total of 3 attempts. Retakes can be registered for at the time of initial registration or added later, subject to the condition that the main exam has not yet been completed.

The highest marks scored across all attempts (main + retakes) will be considered for the respective school's merit process.

A candidate may add a preferred school until the main examination has been attempted. Once the main exam is completed, no new school can be added in the same exam category for retakes. However, a new exam category (e.g., adding NMIMS-CET after completing NMIMS-NPAT main) can be added.

Candidates may select up to five program preferences while applying for NPAT 2026.

NMIMS conducts four UG entrance examinations for the academic year 2026-27: (1) NMIMS-NPAT for Commerce, Economics, Branding, Liberal Arts, International Business, and Family Business Management programs; (2) NMIMS-CET for Engineering and Pharmacy; (3) NMIMS-MST for Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science; and (4) NMIMS-LAT for Law programs.

The counselling call letter and merit list for NPAT 2026 will be declared in the first week of June 2026, as per the latest official notification.
