<h1><strong>Why is CUET important? – Significance of CUET</strong></h1>
<p>Until 2022, every university had its own distinct process (entrance exam or merit based) for taking admissions into their UG programs. With the aim of unifying this process, in a joint venture of MoE along with the UGC, the CUET was introduced in 2022. The test will be conducted by the NTA and will be a common entrance exam for UG admissions into all the participating universities (250+) across the country.</p>

<h2><strong>Why CUET is important?</strong></h2>
<p>The introduction of CUET has revolutionized the entire UG admission landscape in the country. The admissions which were earlier done on the basis of entrance exams of respective universities or merit-based, will all come under the purview of CUET.</p>
<p><strong>A few significant reasons, why CUET is important are listed below:</strong></p>
<p><strong>One common exam for all UG admissions</strong></p>
<p>CUET 2024 will be the national-level common entrance exam for all the participating universities in CUET 2024. 249 universities participated in CUET 2023, including 45 central universities. The number is expected to grow to 250+ in the next edition.</p>
<p><strong>Equal playground for all students</strong></p>
<p>Owing to the merit-based (class 12 Board result) admission process, some students had unfair disadvantages. Like, uneven marking schemes and question paper difficulty levels practiced by different Boards. This gave an undue advantage to students from some Boards.</p>
<p><strong>End of subjective bias</strong></p>
<p>Take an example if a student is seeking admission in B.Sc Maths and he/she has scored well in the Boards for that particular subject, but due to relatively low marks in other science subjects, he/she could not get admission.</p>
<p>But, now the admission will be completely based on the CUET scorecard. This will give a fair opportunity to the candidates to follow their interests.</p>
<p>These were a few brief and significant reasons why CUTE is important. Based on this information, candidates are requested to formulate their preparation strategy and ace CUET 2024, and get to their dream college.</p>
