Will Admission to All the Courses in the Participating Universities be Through CUET?

The UG admissions to all the courses offered by the central universities participating in CUET 2024 will be solely based on the CUET scores. However, the UG admission criteria may vary depending on the courses and the university other than the central universities. It’s crucial to review the specific admission criteria of each university (other than the central universities)  and the course you’re interested in to decide if CUET is obligatory.

It is a well-known fact that CUET scores are accepted by more than 250 Central, State, Deemed, and private institutes. The CUET scores obtained by students will be the sole criteria for admission to all the UG courses offered by central universities, like the University of Delhi (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Central Punjab University (CPU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) to name a few. As for other state, deemed, and private universities, students need to check the particular courses they are aspiring for, the eligibility criteria, and the admission process.

Nonetheless, to make it clearer we have explained the details below whether or not admission to all the courses in the participating universities be through CUET:

> Program-specific Requirements: A few courses offered by state, private, and deemed universities may conduct entrance exams or have admission standards beyond CUET.

> Diverse Programs: CUET may not cover all the courses in universities that are partaking which means the courses you’re interested in may not be covered (Except central universities).

> Tailored Admissions: Universities set up admission processes to meet the specific requirements and standards of each program (Example: Common Seat Allocation System – CSAS Portal).
