Will I be eligible for the universities which I have not
opted in the CUET form?
Of course, YES! If
you have applied for CUET 2023, you will be eligible for all the participating
universities. Irrespective of the number of universities you have applied to or
the preferred list of courses, if your choice of subjects and CUET score meets
the eligibility criteria of any of the 240+ participating universities of CUET
2023 you can take admission there.
The CUET 2023
application form does not limit your eligibility for admission to any
particular university or course for your admission. The application fee charged
for CUET 2023 is based on the number of subjects you have opted and not for the
number of universities or courses you have applied to. One can choose a minimum
of 3 and a maximum of 10 subjects for CUET 2023.
There are more than 240
universities participating in CUET 2023 and offering 3 lakh+ seats for UG
admission. It is practically not possible for any candidate to apply for as
many universities or courses as they want to. Keeping this in mind, the CUET
official notification says that if any candidate has filled out the CUET
application form, paid the fees, and took the exams would be eligible for
admissions to any of the 240+ participating universities and courses offered by
them, provided they meet their eligibility criteria.
Each university in CUET
has its own eligibility criteria and a fixed quota of seats available, so it’s
essential to thoroughly research each university’s requirements (eligibility
criteria & number of seats) to check your eligibility. CUET offers UG
admission to 240+ universities (including 47 central universities like, DU,
JNU, BHU, JMI, etc.).
