Eligibility Criteria
Before you register for IPMAT Indore, confirm that you meet the following conditions. Additionally, if you are applying for colleges apart from IIM Indore, ensure you meet the respective eligibility criteria for each of those.
Age: You must be born on or after August 1, 2006. SC, ST, and PwD candidates get a five-year relaxation, meaning the cutoff shifts to August 1, 2001.
Academic Qualification: You must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing in 2026. General and OBC candidates need a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 12. SC, ST, and PwD candidates need 55%.

IPMAT Indore Application Fee 2026
The IPMAT Indore application fee varies by category- check which one applies to you before proceeding to payment.

How to Complete the IPMAT Indore 2026 Registration
Step 1- Visit the official website: Go to iimidr.ac.in and find the IPMAT 2026 application link under the IPM Admissions section.
Step 2- Register as a new candidate: Enter your full name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. Your User ID will arrive on your registered email and your password via SMS.
Step 3- Log in and fill the form: Enter your personal details, academic history, and communication address carefully. Details cannot be changed after submission.
Step 4- Upload documents: Keep scanned copies of your passport-size photograph, signature, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, a valid government-issued photo ID, and a category certificate if applicable. Images must be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format.
Step 5- Select your exam centre: Choose your preferred city from the available list of approximately 39 exam centres across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, and Indore among others.
Step 6- Pay the application fee: Complete payment online. Save the receipt — you will need it later.
Step 7- Submit and download: Review everything before hitting submit. Once submitted, no edits are possible. Download and save a copy of your completed application form and payment receipt.
What Comes After Registration?
Once your application is submitted, the next stage is the Aptitude Test on May 4, 2026, conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in the afternoon shift. The exam has three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer), and Verbal Ability (MCQ). Each correct answer carries four marks, with a one-mark negative marking for wrong answers in the MCQ sections.
Candidates who clear the aptitude test move on to a Personal Interview (PI) round, after which the final merit list is declared based on the Composite Score (CS).
