Post Graduate Diploma in Management by IIM Calcutta is a two-year residential programme. The programme aims to churn out excellent general managers, and high-level-decision-makers with broad strategic vision. The core features of PGDM are accounting, finance, marketing, operations, and management. Aside from term papers, students enrolled into the program are required to earn a minimum of 93-credit points, and a maximum of 105-credit points, for a successful course completion.
Post Graduate Programme for Executives is a one-year full time residential programme for executives with more than five years of professional experience. The main objective of the programme is to transform the experienced professionals into dynamic ethical leaders, and to provide mid-career professionals the ideal platform to further enhance the existing skill sets.
PGPEX-VLM is a one year, full time, residential program. The program is jointly conducted by three premier institutes of India viz. IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras in consultation with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion: Government of India and Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Candidates are selected based on academic records, work experience and performance in Aptitude Test and Personal Interview- the latter two are conducted by the faculty members of the conducting institutes. Candidates applying for PGPEX-VLM are required to have an engineering degree.
The Fellow Programme of the Indian Institute of Management is a full-time doctoral programme. It has two streams- The Fellow Programme in Management and The Fellow Programme in Disciplines Related to Management. The programme offers students the opportunity for an advanced studies, and research in different specializations related to Management Science. Students are awarded with the title of ‘Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta’ on successfully completing the course.
CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education which was also formerly known as “The Community of European Management Schools" was established in 1988 with the goal of creating true global managers. CEMS MIM was formed through collaboration between Università Bocconi, ESADE, HEC Paris and the University of Cologne. IIM Calcutta is the only Indian member among the 30 elite member premier business schools.
