IIM Jammu: Programs, Admission Process, Cutoffs, Fees and Placements

IIM Jammu, the youngest IIM in the country, was established in Jammu and Kashmir by the Government of India in 2016. The off-campus, located in Srinagar was inaugurated on January 24, 2020. The proposed campus for IIM Jammu is currently under construction at Jagati, 14km from Jammu City. Thus, IIM Jammu currently operates from the Old University Campus at Canal Road, Jammu.

IIM Jammu Admission Process

Common Admission Process (CAP)

The Common Admission Process is held jointly by 9 IIMs (IIM Jammu, Bodhgaya, Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, Trichy and Udaipur). In this round, a personal interview is held and the scores for the PI round are used by all the 9 IIMs.

Supplementary Admission Process (SAP)

For candidates who do not get a call in the CAP round, can get the opportunity in the SAP round which is conducted by IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya together. A Personal Interview (PI) is held and the PI scores are used by both the IIMs.

  • The overall cut-off percentile marks for eligibility for Personal Interview (PI) process is greater or equal to 85 with sectional cut-offs of 75 percentile.
  • However, there is no guarantee of a call even if an overall CAT percentile of greater or equal to 85 is met.
  • Among the eligible candidates, the final list of candidates to be called for Personal Interview (PI) process will be decided strictly based on order of merit and as per the requirements of IIM Jammu.
