One thing that every candidate needs to do when they are deciding on how to prepare for PGDBA 2020 is the PGDBA 2020 Syllabus and the PGDBA 2019 Exam Analysis.

PGDBA 2020 Syllabus and PGDBA 2019 Exam Analysis

With the PGDBA 2020 exam nearing, it is important to understand how to prepare for PGDBA 2020. Out of all the sections in the PGDBA 2020 Exam, the one section which is different from the CAT 2019 Exam is the Quantitative Aptitude Section.

The Quantitative Aptitude section for the PGDBA Exam includes Higher Mathematics while the QA section in the CAT 2019 section is capped at Maths up to Class 10. Due to this, the strategy on how to prepare for the PGDBA 2020 Exam will have to change as compared to CAT Preparation. The major topics that are added to the Quantitative Aptitude section are:

  • Matrices
  • Euclidean Geometry
  • Calculus

These chapters will have to be given additional importance when the strategy on how to prepare for PGDBA 2020 Exam is decided. However there is no need to go too in-depth with the topics as the questions which are tested are fairly basic in nature. The other topics in the PGDBA 2020 Exam are the same as in the CAT Syllabus which basically means Maths up to Class 10. In terms of PGDBA 2019 Exam, the difficulty was slightly high as the Higher Mathematics questions were quite difficult. A good strategy would be to attempt the normal questions first followed by as many of the Higher Mathematics questions to ensure that you maximize your score.

The Verbal Ability section in the PGDBA 2020 Exam includes two major topics:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Grammar

This means that the syllabus for the Verbal Ability section in the PGDBA 2020 Exam is similar to the CAT 2019 Exam. In terms of the difficulty of the section, it can vary across the years. The PGDBA 2019 Exam had a moderate Verbal Ability section with the Reading Comprehension questions being slightly difficult while the other questions were moderate.

The Data Interpretation and Data Visualization section is quite similar to the CAT 2019 Data Interpretation section. In the PGDBA 2019 paper, it consisted of 2 sets of questions where a bar graph and a table were given on the basis of which, the questions were meant to be answered.

The Logical Reasoning section can be asked in the form of individual questions or as a set of 5 questions. It was PGDBA 2019 which bucked the trend by having a set of 5 questions rather than individual questions. For more analysis of the PGDBA 2019 Exam, please visit this page.
