The annual Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), a state-level entrance exam conducted by KPPGCA, serves as the entrance exam for over 200 AICTE-approved top B-schools in Karnataka.

KMAT is a computer-based online entrance exam that usually takes place twice a year. To be eligible for KMAT, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). It is important to note that earlier, only candidates residing in Karnataka could apply for the KMAT exam, which has now been removed by KPPGCA.
