Registering for NMIMS is a two-fold process. First, you need to register for NMAT 2019 on NMAT by GMAC. Second, you need to fill the NMAT Application Form.
By registering for NMAT 2019, you will be able to write the test and your scores will be shared with your preferred universities, accepting NMAT scores. However, to be considered for the admission process you need to apply to each university separately.
NMAT 2019 is a two-hour computer-based test administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The exam is delivered in a 75-day window. During this window, you can take the NMAT exam three times, if required. To register for the NMAT exam, you need to follow the steps listed below:
Step 1: Register to create your Account
To initiate the process, you need to submit basic information like name, mobile no, email id, and the country in which you will be taking the test. After submission, the account will be created post successful verification of the entered email id.
Step 2: Login to your account
You will receive the login credentials i.e. the username and password via email. Post login you will get access to your NMAT Dashboard. Proceed with the “Continue” tab to fill the application form for NMAT 2019.
Step 3: Fill in your Personal Information
You need to submit the required personal details and provide the following documents:
Specifications for Photo
Photo ID
Signature ID
Step 4: Contact Information
In this segment of the application form, you need to provide your contact information like mobile no, email address, and correspondence address. Please ensure that the entered information is correct so that you receive all the important communication and updates from NMAT by GMAC.
Step 5: Education/ Work Experience
If you have completed your graduation then select the equivalent option and enter the specifics of your graduation degree. Next, enter the marks scored in your graduation as per the marking scheme of your university.
If you are currently pursuing your graduation and will soon be appearing for your final year examination then you only need to enter the specifics of your graduation degree. In this case, you are not required to enter your graduation scores.
If you have full-time work experience, please enter your work experience as on 1st July 2019. Please note that only full-time work experience after graduation will be considered. Part-time/Internship/Articleship will not be considered under work experience.
Step 6: School Preference
At this point you need to select the Universities - you want NMAT by GMAC to submit your scores. For all NMIMS campuses, you just need to select NMIMS University. You can select five preferences for free. To send your scores to more than five universities, for every additional university you need to pay NMAT by GMAC Rs 236 plus taxes.
Step 7: Other Details
This segment consists of some additional questions like when are planning to start your management education? How did you get to know about NMAT by GMAC? Etc.
Step 8: Declaration
At this stage, please carefully preview your application and make sure that the information entered is accurate.

As mentioned above, you need to apply to NMIMS apart from filling the NMAT by GMAC exam form in order to be considered for their admission process.
Step 1: Login to NMIMS Admission Portal
To login, you will require your NMAT Registration Number and Date of Birth.
Step 2: Personal Information
In the personal information section of the form, your personal information (Name, NMAT Registration Number, DOB, Email ID and Contact number) will be pre-filled as per the information submitted in the NMAT by GMAC form.
Step 3: Program Category and Academic Background
In Academic Background, you need to enter your graduation background, your graduation status (passed/appearing), and graduation percentage. If your marking system is CGPA then convert the CGPA into percentage basis your university rule. In case there is no conversion rule stated by the University then use the general rule of conversion i.e. (CGPA*100/Total CGPA).
If your graduation status is appearing then you do not need to enter the graduation percentage at this point.
In Program category, you have the option to apply to both MBA & PGDM programmes or each individually. Accordingly, you have to select your program preferences under MBA and PGDM programmes.
Under MBA programs you get maximum 4 preferences and under PGDM programs you get maximum 6 preferences.
