TISS-NET 2021: Syllabus

TISS-NET is a national-level entrance test for admission into the 52 Master’s Degree Programs offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) across its various campuses in India. The courses offered include the likes of M.A., M.Sc., M.P.H., M.H.A, among others; and are comparable with the MBA programs from the top B-schools of India.

TISS-NET 2021 will have 3 components/sections, namely, English Proficiency, Mathematical & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure of TISS-NET 2021 will consist of two more stages, apart from the written test. These are Pre-Interview Test (PIT)/Group discussion (GD); and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates need to qualify both the rounds to ensure final selection.

During the GD & PI rounds, the Admission Committee evaluates the candidate’s knowledge on the selected subject. Many of the programs also have an additional GD or Aptitude Test (AT), as a part of PIT.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree of minimum of 3 to 4 years’ duration (or its equivalent)

Age limit: There will be no age limit to apply for TISS-NET 2021.

For LL.M: Candidates must have qualified LL.B. degree with at least 50% marks from any recognized board or university.

Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation degree are also eligible to apply for TISS-NET 2021.

Exam Pattern

Mode of exam: TISS-NET 2021 exam will be conducted online (computer-based).

Medium: English language will be the medium used.

Number of questions: 100

Question type: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ).

Exam Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes

Subjects: Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge, and English Proficiency

Admit Card

TISS-NET 2021 Hall Ticket or Admit card is expected to be made available on the official website in the last week of December, 2020. Candidates will have to enter their registered email ID & phone number to download it.

It will be mandatory for all candidates to carry the admit card to their respective examination center. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the TISS-NET 2021 exam without a hall ticket, along with valid ID proof (Aadhar card, driving license, etc.)

Results

TISS-NET 2021 results will be made available online in the first week of February, 2021. Candidates will need to use their login credentials to view the results, which will be displayed in the form of a scorecard.

The results will contain all details, such as the candidate’s name, roll number, marks scored in each section, total marks, percentage, and results status (pass/fail).
