Overall, XAT 2019 was similar to Last year's paper. Contrary to expectations there were no Numerical Answer Type (Non-MCQ) questions.

The difficulty level of the paper was similar to slightly difficult compared to the previous year. We expect overall cut-off for XLRI BM to remain the same at 28.5, QA and DI section was similar to 2018 expected cut-off at a score of 11. VA and LR section was slightly difficult and expected cutoff is 6.5 a fall of 1 from the previous year, DM was similar to last year and the expected cut-off is 8.

There was no major surprise in GK, 25 questions carried no negative mark and was of same difficulty level as last year.

XAT 2019 Admit Card

The Admit Card for XAT was released on 22nd December 2018, on its official website. The candidates are required to carry a printout of the Admit card and proof of identification (Aadhar Card/Driving Licence/ Voter I-Card/Pan Card/Passport/Valid College ID Card/Employee ID Card) to the exam venue. Candidates need to paste their latest color passport size photograph on their admit card. The reporting time for the exam is 8:30 am and the gate closing time is 9:40. XAT 2019 Expected Cut-offs

To get a shortlist for further consideration, an aspirant needs to clear the sectional cut-offs as well as the overall cut-offs. The introduction of NAT questions is likely to increase the difficulty level of the paper, especially the Decision Making section. It can be expected that the cut offs may fall further this year. The overall cut-off percentile last year for open category students, for BM program, was 94; and for HRM program was 92.
