IIM admission criteria

Increase your Quant score
No matter how deeply you may have ingrained formulae and theorems and sundry properties of mathematical elements in your head, there is always that off-chance when a simple slip of the mind will result in catastrophic blunders: each negative mark irreversibly damages your percentile. Make sure there is not a shred of doubt about the precision of your answer when you mark it. Over-confidence has been the bane of many an IIM aspirant. Never let the highly negative impact of incorrect answers that result from slipshod calculations or hurried reasoning affect your score. Register here to read more...

Rather than getting overwhelmed by the multitude of information provided, it is prudent to build you strength in the types of Data Interpretation questions that you feel you can achieve proficiency in. The adage "Playing to your strengths" never had a better point to illuminate.

Reading Comprehension passages should not send a chill down your spine. Whether you are a first-time CAT-taker or a veteran with a couple of attempts, the good news is that the length of passages in the Computer-based CAT has decreased as compared to its paper & pencil version. Accordingly, you need to build up your speed of comprehending the crux of the passage in the few days that remain to C-Day.

While the time to plunge headlong into preparing for CAT was yesterday, it is still not too late. Sprucing up your vocabulary and language warehouse is not a cakewalk by any means, but it is not impossible either. With the correct approach, you can stand yourself in good stead (or better-than-now stead, in any case). There is no end to the sheer devilry CAT question-setters can dole out while proselytizing their position as sadists.
