Q & A Session

ACE NTSE Mental Ability in 2 Hours

The workshop serves as a platform for students to upgrade their knowledge level in a way that increases their ability to perform in many competitive exams, especially NTSE, and gain an edge over others. MAT (Mental Ability Test) is conducted to gauge one’s mental ability to reason, judge, evaluate, and visualize in spatial orientation. The MAT section of NTSE has a variety of aptitude questions based on analogies, classification, series, pattern perception, hidden figures, coding-decoding, block assembly, problem-solving, etc. This section might be the most important one of the paper, as it carries a good weightage in NTSE selection. Aspirants must devote sufficient time to this section during their NTSE preparation.

Keep solving different problems of the typical kind. Focus on time management, as most aspirants tend to spoil their chances despite knowing the answer, simply because of a shortage of time. As there are no negative marks allotted for wrong answers and this part of the NTSE 2021 is in the form of MCQs, you should answer all the questions. This could help you score higher in the MAT & SAT Sections.

NTSE is one of the most prestigious exams on the national level. So, you must follow appropriate strategies to crack the exam. Here are tips and tricks which will no doubt benefit you:

Follow State Board and NCERT Books

Along with the prescribed books for NTSE, you should also study the NCERT books and the books of the State Board. This will help you score well both in the Secondary Exam and NTSE.

Practising Strategy

Practise the Mental Ability questions and Begin with 10 questions at a time; and try to solve them within 15 minutes. Slowly, build up speed & accuracy; and bring the time down to 10 minutes, which should be your exam-day strategy.

Adopt a Logical Approach

Identify the exact formula/method to solve a problem. In certain cases, you can also apply your common sense to arrive at a logical solution. This way, you will not need to remember every formula; and solving problems will be a lot more fun.

Attempt All Questions

When your goal is to achieve the NTSE Scholarship, you must attempt 100% of the questions asked with accuracy and confidence. As you practise more & more, both your confidence and accuracy rate will keep improving for sure.
