Multiple Exit Options
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP), the programme offers multiple exit options:
· Certificate: After completing the first year
· Diploma: After completing the second year
· Degree: After completing the third year
· Honours: After completing the fourth year
Eligibility Criteria
o Qualification: Must have either passed their Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in the year 2024 or 2025, or be currently appearing for Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination, with results expected by June 2025.
o Minimum Percentage: 70% in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations (General Category); 65% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD and EWS Categories.
o English Language: Must have passed English language examination in Standard X/SSC and Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examinations.
o IIT JEE (Mains) Score: Must have a valid IIT JEE (Mains) 2025 score (mandatory for all applicants).
o Age Limit: The maximum age for admission is 21 years as on July 31, 2025.
Admission Process
o Stage 1: Application & Eligibility: Candidates will be required to submit their applications online through the IIM Sambalpur’s admission portal.
o Stage 2: Merit List Preparation: The final merit list will be prepared based on the IIT JEE (Main) Score.
Reservation Policy
IIM Sambalpur will follow the reservation policy as per the Government of India regulations:
o Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of the seats are reserved for SC candidates.
o Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the seats are reserved for ST candidates.
o Other Backward Classes – Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL): 27% of the seats are reserved for OBC-NCL candidates.
o Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of the seats are reserved for EWS candidates.
o Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5% of the seats are reserved for PwD candidates.
