CUET UG 2026 Eligibility & Qualifying Examinations (Official)

Age Limit

 

  • There is NO age limit for CUET UG 2026.
  • Candidates who have passed Class 12 or are appearing in 2026 are eligible.
  • However, candidates must satisfy age criteria (if any) set by the University / Institution where admission is sought.
  • Qualifying Examinations Accepted
  • Candidates must have passed any one of the following:
  • Class 12 examination from a recognized Central/State Board (CBSE, CISCE, etc.)
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination
  • Two-year course of Joint Services Wing of NDA
  • Senior Secondary examination by NIOS (minimum 5 subjects)
  • Any Public School/Board/University exam recognized as equivalent to Class 12 by AIU/UGC
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination
  • Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board (minimum 3 years)
  • GCE (Advanced Level) – London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)
  • Class 12 examination from a foreign board recognized by AIU
  • If Class 12 is not public, candidate must have passed at least one public examination earlier
