BA Political Science Honours Eligibility

There are many universities, colleges and institutes in India that offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in political science. However, before applying for admission to the top universities in the country, candidates need to meet the basic eligibility criteria which are generally set by the university offering the course. The basic requirement to enrol in this course is that a student should have a minimum of 60% in the XII Boards examination from a recognized institution.

Some colleges offer distance learning in Political Science for students/working professionals.

Remember, the eligibility criteria differ from college to college. For instance, if a student wishes to take admission in a college which is under the DU - Delhi University,  the criteria would be based on the cut-offs.  

BA Political Science Honours Admission

The admission process for BA Political Science Hons remains similar for most of the colleges, here are the steps to be followed:

1. The admission to BA Pol Science Hons is based on the cut-off list released by the university/college.

2. The application forms are out in May or June every year.

3. The application process is online but for some universities, it is in offline mode.

4. Students are required to fill the application form before the deadline.

5. After the declaration of XII Boards results, universities/ colleges release their respective cut-off for BA Pol Science Hons.

If the aggregate percentage obtained by the student in the XII examination fulfils the cut-off criterion issued by the college, he/she is granted admission based on the merit list.
