About Central University of Jharkhand

Central University of Jharkhand was established in 2009 by an Act of the Indian Parliament, with an objective to have a beneficial impact on the nation at large, while enhancing the quality of teaching and research.

The Central University of Jharkhand is in Brambe, Jharkhand and was established with a mission to serve as a beacon of change, through multi-disciplinary learning & for the creation of a knowledge community.

B.A (Korean): 55% marks in 12th or equivalent exam. At least 65% in English in 12th or equivalent exam.

B.A (Tibetan): 55% marks in 12th or equivalent exam. At least 65% in English in 12th or equivalent exam.
B.Ed. (Language): 50% marks in 12th or equivalent exam. At least 55% in English in 12th or equivalent exam.

Jharkhand University UG Admissions:

Admissions to Jharkhand University UG courses are based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). CUET will be a common entrance for admissions to UG programs offered by all the Central Universities in the country.

Jharkhand University UG Programs Reservation:

Jharkhand University being a Central University offers reservations in admissions according to central government rules.

Schedule Caste (SC): 15% of the total seats are reserved for students who belong to the SC category.
Schedule Tribe (ST): 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to the ST category.
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% of the total intake is reserved for students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), excluding those from the creamy layer. Also, the Central List of Caste is to be followed.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS): The University has reserved 10% seats for the EWS category, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education.
Persons with Disability (PWD): 5% of the seats are reserved on a horizontal basis for students from the PWD category.
