Gargi College, affiliated with Delhi University, considers the UG admission based on the merit of Class XII & CUCET. Gargi College admission usually starts in May month after the declaration of Class XII result and goes till August. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce and is mostly popular for its Arts and Science courses.

Gargi College admission process 2021 is only conducted online (due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic). At the UG level, Gargi College offers a 3-year BA (Hons) and BA (Prog.) in the field of Arts along with a four-year B.El.Ed in the field of Education. The BA (Hons) is available in nine specialisations. Postgraduate programs offered by the Gargi College are, M.A and M.Sc courses. These 2-year courses are offered in English, Political Science and Chemistry departments. Selection criteria for BCom (Hons) and BCom: Based on Class XII scores including one language and three best subjects as per the following:

  • A minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for BCom) or more in English/ Hindi and a combination of best three subjects among Maths, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies/ Commerce
  • Inclusion of any subject from List B other than those mentioned above will lead to a deduction of 1% per subject in the aggregate
  • Inclusion of any subject other than those in List A and List B in the best three will lead to a deduction of 2.5% per subject in the aggregate

The BA (Hons) is available in nine specialisations. Admission details regarding Gargi College BA admission and B.El.Ed admission is as follows:

    ·         For BA (Prog.), candidates must choose a combination of two discipline subjects from the combinations offered by the college

    ·         Admission to BA (Hons) and BA (Prog.) is based on Class XII merit scores except for BA (Hons) in Business Economics which offers admission based on DUJAT

    ·         Final admission to B.El.Ed is entrance-based at Gargi College (few colleges under DU offers admission to this course basis merit) followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round

    Step 2: Register and verify the account created via OTP.

    Step 3: Log in to the registered account by filling in email ID, password and captcha verification on the login screen.

    Step 4: For merit-based courses, fill in the application form with required details followed by a selection of desired courses and payment of the application fee. For entrance-based courses, fill in the application form with necessary details, select the desired exam date and time slot and appear for the exam and pay the application fee.
