CUET Exam 2023: Notifications, Exam Date, Application Process & more

The Common Universities Entrance Test(CUET) is a national-level exam conducted by the NTA for admissions to undergraduate courses in more than 80 universities including top central universities like the University of Delhi(DU), Banaras Hindu University(BHU), Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI), Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU) to name a few.

The National Testing Agency(NTA) will conduct the CUET(UG) exam twice a year, in June and December every year from 2023 onwards.

What is CUET Exam 2023?

CUET is a national-level entrance test offering admissions to UG, and integrated programs in 54 central and 80+ total universities across India (Including selected state, private, and deemed universities). The exam will be a computer-based test that will be conducted in two shifts (Morning & Afternoon). Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, are a few major universities that will be participating in the CUET 2023.

Why CUET?

CUET has been introduced to reduce the high cut-off standards for entering central universities and their respective colleges. These high cut-off standards were unfair for many aspiring students as the marking system practiced varies significantly from one board to another. The exam is a centralised test for 80+ universities, including the top universities like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Central University of Punjab, Jawaharlal Nehru University, etc. Admission to all the constituent colleges of the participating universities will be done through the CUET scorecard. It will be easier for the students as they don't have to appear for multiple entrance tests, focus can be made on a single test to get admission to these top universities.
