DU Entrance Exam - the idea, the logic, the pros, the cons, the design

"While an entrance examination is a mandatory process to ensure level a playing field and transparency in the process, it must take the path of CAT (IIM entrance) rather than the path of the IITJEE. The areas that could get covered would include aptitude based questions to test your numerical ability, logical reasoning, decision making, English comprehension and general awareness."

DU UG admissions 2017: Entrance exams rule over cut-off system

Delhi University being one of the premier universities across the country happens to be a dream career destination of most of the students. The university has produced global leaders, leading sportsmen, eminent managers and distinguished personalities over the years. To maintain academic excellence, the University board has come up with entrance exams for its various UG courses.

It seems that the University board wants to weed out unwanted students being admitted to the University and hence has come up with the idea of introducing entrance examinations. The idea of conducting an all India entrance for Delhi University has already been discussed with the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The final statement is expected to come out in a few weeks.
