IIT PALAKKAD
The Indian Institute of Technology Pallakad also known as IIT-PKD is among the third generation IITs established in 2015 under the mentorship of IIT Madras. The Institute is currently operated from its temporary campus (Ahalia Health Heritage and Knowledge Village) situated in Kozhipara at a distance of 25 km from the railway station of Palakkad in Kerala. A land of 504.54 acres has been proposed for the construction of permanent campus of IIT PKD. Currently IIT Palakkad has 8 academic departments and it offers admission at UG, PG and PhD levels.

Getting into IIT Palakkad -Admissions
- For all B.Tech programs-JEE Advanced
- The aspirants have to qualify JEE Main and then JEE Advanced to be eligible for counseling. Only the top 224,000 students in JEE Main will become eligible to sit for JEE Advanced.
Also, the candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with 75% marks (65% in case of ST/SC/PwD)
IIT PALAKKAD admission Procedure

B.Tech admission at IIT Palakkad is done through online counseling. Counseling organized by the JoSAA is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and required documents for verification.

CAMPUS LIFE AT IIT PALAKKAD:
The IIT PALAKKAD campus is fully residential with separate hostels for boys and girls.The hostel buildings and academic buildings are within a radius of 300 meters. All basic facilities are provided within the campus like Wi-Fi, RO water system, washing machines etc. The Institute also provides facilities for playing football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis. Other essential amenities along with three restaurants are also provided within the campus.
Training & Placement as IIT PALAKKAD
The students of 3rd year of the Institute applied for the internships and 48 industrial internships were offered by the 37 industries which participated in the process.
