PEC (Punjab Engineering College)
Punjab Engineering College is a public institute which focuses in the field of applied sciences, particularly engineering and technology. It is located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, and was founded in 1921. PEC is one of the best engineering institute of country. The institute became Deemed University in 2003 through a MHRD notification and rechristened as PEC University of Technology in 2009. There are 9 academic departments and 2 centers of excellence.

Mode of Admission
- One needs to take the JEE (Main) exam and either secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in Class XII or be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in his/her respective Class XII board examination.
- Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Main) through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.
- Institute conducts it's own counselling for Special Category Seats (Kashmiri Migrants, Children/ Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters, Sons/Daughters/Spouses of Military/Paramilitary Personnel and Sportspersons).
