Getting into SRM:
- For all B.Tech programs- SRMJEEE (UG)
- Admissions are done on the basis of rank in JEE (Main) through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round.
- An online examination having multiple choice questions would be conducted. The question paper would comprise of 35 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Math/Biology. Each question would carry 3 marks each and there is no negative marking.
Eligibility Criteria:
(a) Nationality and Age
Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE (UG).
Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India who has not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under International student category only.
Should have attained the age of 16 + on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held
(b) Qualifying Examination:
All B.Tech programmes :
Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects from a recognized board.
Note: Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice-versa.
(ii) GCE A-level or International Baccalaureate(IB) diploma or IB certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects (equivalent to Advanced Placement level in each subject) in any International schools within India.
Note : These seats are only filled by counselling through JOSAA, other seats are separately filled by the institute.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
- Candidates will be invited for counselling as per their score in SRMJEEE (UG)
- One or more counselling sessions will be held depending on the vacancy of seats.
- Candidates can choose their preferred specialization/branch of study in a particular campus based on
- Merit List based on Score obtained.
- ful-filling the programme-specific eligibility criteria for a particular campus
- subject to the availability of seats at that point of time.
- After selection of specialization/branch full tuition fees and other applicable fees have to be paid during counseling.
- Provisional Allotment Letter will be issued to confirm the candidate's admission.

Placements at SRM
The SRM university placements were held for final year students with companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant etc. offered more than 3000 placements. TCS Digital offered around 62 students and Infosys offered nearly 64 students. Amazon, Cisco, Directi were some of the other important recruiters.
