IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam (December 07, 2019) Analysis - Slot III

Today was the first day of the IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam 2019. The exam is being conducted in four time slots: 2 each in the morning and evening.

A total of 100 questions had to be answered in 60 minutes. All the sections, except English Language, were available in both English and Hindi. Every correct answer will fetch 1 mark, while every incorrect answer will reduce the score by 0.25. There is sectional timing of 20 minutes.

Reading Comprehension was based on Photosynthesis in an artificial leaf or "Cambridge leaf". The passage was lengthy. The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy to moderate.

There were ten questions from Linear and Circular Seating Arrangement, which were easy to moderate. Data Arrangement was of moderate difficulty level. There was a set of five questions on Coding as well as one set of three questions on Directions. The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy to moderate.

There was one set of five questions from Data Interpretation (Table based) in which data was provided on Employees who joined four companies P, Q, R and S for the years 2001 to 2004 and the questions in the set were on percentage, ratio, difference and total. It was of moderate difficulty level. There were two questions each on mensuration and time speed distance. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
