IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Exam (October 20, 2019) - Analysis

IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Exam 2019 was held on October 20, 2019. There were 200 questions spread across 5 sections namely, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English Language/Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. All sections except the ‘language section’ were available bilingually. A candidate had to attempt either the section on English Language or Hindi Language. Each question had 5 options, with negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question. The paper had to be attempted in 2 hours (120 minutes).

There was only one set of Reading Comprehensions consisting 10 questions out of which one question was based on fill in the blank. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.

General Awareness:

Most of the questions were from current affairs including government schemes, banking related schemes. Most of the current affairs questions were related to news events of May, June, July and August. Some of questions/topics asked: National Park, Operation Sunrise, NASA Apollo 11, Wimbledon 2019 etc.  General Awareness was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level.

Computer Knowledge:

This section was easy to attempt. The main areas of focus were Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Networking, Internet, Basic Hardware and Software. Some of questions/topics asked: Short Cut Key, Binary to Decimal, MAC Address, MS Office etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
