The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Jharkhand popularly known as The ICFAI University, Jharkhand was established under sub-Section (2) of Section 4 of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University Act, 2006 (Jharkhand Act 08, 2007). The University is recognized by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 and is empowered by UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956. The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, UK.
The University is committed to creating and disseminating knowledge and imparting skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting, publishing and industry internships developing a new cadre of citizens with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct.

The Visitor of the University is Her Excellency, The Governor of Jharkhand. The University is administered as per the Act, Statutes and Rules. The Board of Governors is headed by the Chancellor and has Vice-Chancellor and others as members. The Board of Management and the Academic Council are headed by the Vice-Chancellor. The Academic Council is responsible for all academic matters.

Merit Scholarships based on Past Academic Record: Percentage of marks achieved in qualifying examination will decide the amount of scholarship. Scholarship amount can be adjusted in the Semester I fee payable.

The University gives utmost importance to assist students in getting suitable placements after successful completion of the program. Alumni of the University have been working in senior roles in reputed multi-national companies, Indian corporates, banks, public sector units, government organizations etc. Some alumni have become successful entrepreneurs.
The training and placement wing at the University looks after the training and placement activities on a continuing basis. Staffed by senior professionals and placement executives, the team initiates and maintains the University- Industry dialogue and manages the summer internship program and final placement activities. The team evaluates student performance levels and ensures relevant preparation for their corporate placements. Working both at the supply and demand sides of the placement, the team plays the vital intermediary role of matching academic excellence and industry expectations and counseling the students appropriately.
