iPATE Exam Pattern & iPATE Eligibility

Exam Eligibilty

  • B.E. / B.Tech (4 year course after 10+2) Final year Students may also apply
  • B.E. / B.Tech (3 year course after B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering)
  • B.Arch - (5 year course) / Naval Architecture (4 years course) / Planning (4 years course)
  • Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch) recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE

Exam Pattern

  • iPATE will be a Computer Based Test. iPATE exam will be conducted online with timeline of 3 hours(180 Minutes)

Exam Centres

  • Exam centers will be in selected cities and towns across different States & Union Territories of India

Exam Fee

  • INR 1,500/- (incl. GST) which you have to pay online

iPATE Test Structure

iPATE would be an online Test of 3 hours duration. iPATE would comprise 3 sections as follows:

1. Section-I to assess the Management skills- 20 questions

  • Quantitative Aptitude

  • English Communication

2. Section-II to assess the Professional skills- 20 questions

GATE focuses on assessing the academic knowledge of the candidate to help them explore both higher studies and PSU jobs in India.

iPATE on the other hand focuses on assessing the technical knowledge of the candidate and opening job vistas in job private and PSUs in India. .

NO, there is no limitation on the iPATE Exam attempt. A candidate can appear for the iPATE Exam every year.
