About JGLS

Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

In 2009, JGU began its first academic session with the establishment of India’s first global law school. JGLS is committed to providing global legal education to its students. To fulfill this objective, the curriculum and pedagogy is designed to give extensive exposure to students to domestic, international and comparative law courses.
JGLS has also entered into collaborations, exchange programmes, research partnerships and other forms of engagement and interaction with top universities and institutions across the globe which are willing to share their invaluable intellectual resources developed over decades. Curriculum & Pedagogy

JGLS is committed to providing global legal education to its students. To fulfill this objective, the curriculum and pedagogy is designed to give extensive exposure to students to domestic, international and comparative law courses. Students at JGLS study compulsory courses and choose from an unparalleled array of elective courses. In addition to courses on substantive and procedural law, students gain lawyering skills through practical training papers and clinical legal programmes. JGLS inculcates sound research and writing skills among students by requiring them to write research papers and participate in the activities of the Research Centres

Programs

B.A. HONS.) IN LEGAL STUDIES* THREE YEAR

This programme aims to nurture legal imagination among young students and build a strong foundation to study law and social sciences in the future or be absorbed into legal & allied fields. This programme will be the first ever multi-disciplinary undergraduate degree in legal studies.
*B.A. (Hons) in Legal Studies is an under graduate degree in humanities and social sciences. It is not a degree in law and does not come under the purview of Bar Council of India. A student can pursue 3 year LL.B. degree after completing the B.A. (Hons.) degree in Legal Studies.

B.A. LL.B. (HONS.) FIVE YEAR

The 5 year integrated Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws [BA.LLB (Hons)] Programme is a combination of courses in arts and law subjects, the Programme is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students.

B.B.A. LL.B. (HONS.FIVE YEAR

Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Laws (B.B.A. LL.B (Hons) Programme is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship & academic excellence amongst the students.

LL.B. PROGRAMME THREE YEAR

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Program is designed in keeping with the latest Bar Council of India rules and the University Grants Commission prescriptions and aims at fostering a culture of scholarship and academic excellence amongst the students.

LL.M. PROGRAMME ONE YEAR

The Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies at JGLS offers One Year LLM Programme in Corporate and Financial Law and Policy, International Trade and Investment Law, Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Law, Taxation Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and General LLM.

LL.M. PROGRAMME IN ENVIRONMENTAL LAW, ENERGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE IN COLLABORATION WITH WWF-INDIA ONE YEAR

The LL.M. programme is developed to integrate Indian and global perspectives on aspects of national & international Environmental Law, Climate Change & Energy, and Emphasizes on International, Transnational and Comparative approach to study the subject.

Scholarships

O.P. Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships
The top five LSAT-India test scorers will be awarded the O.P. Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarship of Rs. 1 lakh per year. This will be based solely on their performance in the LSAT-India admission test.

Naveen Jindal Young Global Scholarships
An award of one year programme fee will be given to one student of B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) on the basis of an independent selection process.


Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarships
An award of 50% of one year programme fee will be given to two students from the five-year B.A./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) student on the basis of an independent selection process.
