Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute was established by Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust in the year 1985 as a private not-for-profit, self-financing institution. In view of its academic excellence, the Government of India declared Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute as a Deemed University in September, 1994. Sri Ramachandra University is ranked among the top health sciences universities in India. Spread over 150 acres, the University is laid around a lush green campus. The university has been accredited by NAAC with A Grade with a CGPA of 3.62 on a 4-point scale, the highest to be awarded to a medical university in India.
For MBBS program- NEET
Candidates seeking admission to Sri Ramachandra University must qualify National Eligibility Cum Entrance (NEET 2017) conducted by CBSE. Additionally, it is necessary for a candidate to score a minimum of 50% aggregate in NEET 2017 to become eligible for admission to MBBS programs.
Supreme Court of India had ordered to scrap all state CET exams for the MBBS entrance last year. The states are supposed to hold only Single Exam - NEET from now on.
NEET will be conducted in an offline mode (pen and paper based) at various centres across the country. The question paper will be available in different languages namely English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu.
EXAMINATION DATE - MAY 7TH 2017
The question paper will comprise of 180 questions. Questions will be of MCQ type with each question having four options to choose from. The duration of exam will be three hours.
The question papers will be composed of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

The questions to be asked in NEET 2017 exam will be based upon the topics and chapters from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany taught in 10+2 level at school. The NEET syllabus is prepared after reviewing various state syllabi as well as those prepared by the CBSE, NCERT and COBSE.
