NEET 2019 COUNSELLING Round 1

NEET SEAT ALLOTMENT 2019 – The Directorate General of Health Services issued the Seat Allotment letter to the selected students on July 3 on behalf of the medical counseling committee. Students can download the seat allotment letter by clicking here

Earlier the result of round one of counseling was to be announced on 27th of June but then the authorities decided to announce it again on 2nd of July due to some reasons. Candidates are required to have their NEET Roll number, date of birth and have to enter the security pin provided on the page to download their seat allotment letter. The last date of reporting has now been extended to 8th of July till 5 pm. The fresh schedule of NEET MBBS counseling would be released soon by the authority. Students who have registered themselves for the 15% All India Quota seats, seats in Deemed or Central Universities are included in the counseling result of first round. The eligible students who were allotted a seat in first round of counseling have to report to the allotted college for the document verification and completion of the admission process.

The counseling is conducted for the total intake to the government colleges for all India Quota seats (except the college in Jammu Kashmir). For the year of 2019, number of colleges participating for NEET counseling has increased to 253 for admission to as many as 4,591 MBBS seats under AI Quota. Given below are the closing ranks of MBBS and BDS seats of various categories in round 1 of NEET 2019 counseling.

The most opted medical college for MBBS program through NEET 2019 in India was Maulana Azad Medical College of Delhi followed by VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. MAMC New Delhi was chosen by around 24 students in top 100 rank holders while VMMC was chosen by around 33 candidates among the top 100 rank holders. The closing rank of general category was 23 for MAMC, New Delhi while it was 92 for VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi.
