NEET 2020 dates announced

NEET 2020 dates have been released by the National Testing Agency and all the doubts regarding the mode of exam are clear now. The exam would be conducted once a year and that would be in offline mode. The application process would begin from 2nd December 2019 and the last date of submission of form is 31st December 2019. After the completion of correction in forms, the admit card would be released on 27th March 2020. NEET is a national level exam which would provide admission to BDS, MBBS and Ayush courses in various government and private medical colleges in India.


The exam would be conducted on 3rd of May in offline mode and would be conducted by the National Testing Agency which would be followed by the announcement of results on 4th June 2020. However, the answer key is expected to be released in second week of May 2020.

 

NEET 2020 Application Form

The candidates will be able to fill the NEET application form from 2nd December onwards through online mode. Candidates are required to provide the email Id and mobile number to get the credentials generated. Also a recent passport size photograph and signature in prescribed format are required to avoid rejection at future stages.
The fee for application form is given below for different categories:

  1. General & OBC : INR 1400
  2. SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: 750

In addition to this, GST charges are also applicable.

NEET Eligibility Criteria:

Below is given the eligibility criteria of NEET 2020:

  • Nationality: Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian origin (PIO) and Foreign Nationals citizen are eligible to apply for NEET (UG).
  • Age limit: Candidates must have completed minimum 17 years of age on or before 31stDecember 2020. There is no upper age limit to apply.
  • Qualification: Candidates must have completed 12th level or equivalent examination.
  • Subjects: Students in their 12th level must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology with English as mandatory subject.
  • Marks in Class 12th: Students in class 12th level must have secured minimum 50% marks for General categories; 45% marks for PH & 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates in PCB group.
  • Appearing: Candidates are appearing in their qualifying exam or waiting for their result are also eligible for NEET (UG).

NEET (2019) EXAM PATTERN

  • The question paper comprises of 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology

  • Aspirants would be awarded +4 for every correct answer and a penalty of -1 for every incorrect answer.
  • Minimum eligible score for the entrance of MBBS is 50 percentile for general category, 45 percentile for physically handicapped general candidates and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidate.

 

The syllabus for NEET 2020 would be same as prescribed by Medical Council of India. Candidates can prepare from the syllabus of Class 11th and 12th of CBSE board.
