UPSC Civil Services (Main) Exam 2014: Download admit cards

Candidates can now download the admit cards from the official website of UPSC from today i.e. November 28, 2014 (11:00 AM onwards). The exam is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2014.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the prelims exam, can only appear for the Civil Services Mains exam. Candidates who will clear the Mains exam will be called for the final selection process i.e. the Personal Interview round. Selected candidates after the Interview will be assigned various posts as per their grades.

About UPSC Civil Services Exam:

The Civil Services Examination is a nation level competitive exam in India which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit candidates to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.

The examination is considered as one of the toughest examinations in India with success rate of 0.1%-0.3% with more than 900,000 applicants appearing for the exam. It is conducted in two phases – the Preliminary examination and the Main examination. The entire selection process from the notification of the Preliminary examination to declaration of the final results takes nearly about one year.
