IIM Indore IPM 2015 was conducted by IIM Indore on May 15, 2015 for admission to its five year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The exam comprises 100 questions from two broad sections viz. Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.The time limit of the exam was 120 minutes. There were 4 options in each question. Each correct attempt would fetch 4 marks and each incorrect attempt would attract a penalty of 1 mark.

The level of difficulty of this section was moderate. There were 60 questions in this section.

The paper was a mix of various topics but was primarily dominated by Arithmetic, followed by Number System. Unlike last year, this exam had 10 questions of Data Interpretation - Pie Chart, Caselet and Reasoning based. Students did not report any questions of Higher Maths like Calculus, Conic Sections, etc. The questions based on Modern Maths and Co-ordinate Geometry were of Senior Secondary level. In 80 minutes, an attempt of 38-40 can be considered a good attempt. A 140+ score in this section can be considered a good score.

A student who had practiced our material sufficiently would not have found the paper challenging at all.


Verbal Ability

The difficulty level of this section was easy. There were 40 questions in this section, which could easily be completed in around 40 minutes. The pattern of this section was the same as last year’s exam.

One Reading Comprehension passage was related to Sociology while the other was related to Marketing. Like last year, there were 2 sets of Fill in the Blanks. One set of 5 questions had a single blank and was based on Grammar while the other set of 5 questions had two blanks and was based on vocabulary. An attempt of 32-35 can be considered a good attempt. A score of about 120-125 in this section can be considered a good score.

The level of difficulty of the entire paper can be summed up to be easy to moderate.
