NCHM JEE 2018 entrance for Hotel Management was held on 28 April from 10 AM to 1 PM. The paper was based exactly on the structure given by NCHMCT. The paper was conducted across various centers in India, for students looking forward to admissions in the IHMs managed by NCHMCT including IHM Pusa at Delhi.
The JEE paper had a total of 200 questions spread across five sections- English, General Knowledge, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Service Aptitude.

There were 4 given options for each question in the paper. In all the sections, except for the Service Aptitude Section, 1 mark was awarded for each correct answer while 0.25 marks were deducted for each incorrect one.
English section was easier with questions coming from all possible areas. There were 4 passages with 4 questions on each passage. In Vocabulary, there were questions on synonyms, antonyms, idioms, spelling, Fill in the blanks and Meaning of the underlined phrase. Questions based on antonyms and synonyms dominated the section.
This section was dominated by questions from Hotel and Tourism industry. There were 10-12 questions from this area. Current affairs covered 8-10 questions from varied areas including sports, awards etc. Static GK had 7-8 questions in the paper. Overall, students found this section on the moderate side of difficulty level.
The questions in Numerical Ability section were from varied topics like Ratio, Percentage, Simple and Compound Interest, Time, Speed and Distance and Time and Work. The overall level of difficulty of this section was moderate.
The difficulty level of this section was moderate. A student could have attempted around 20 - 22 questions. Majority of the questions in this section were from topics like Visual Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning. Most of the question in this section could be solved by applying basic logic. There were two sets on data interpretation with 5 questions each.
This section had 50 questions which were easy. Most of the questions had situations related to the hotel and service industry. Students of Career Launcher, would have found this section very easy as the same was covered extensively in the classes and through Studio 8. Some questions in this section tested the personality traits of the students while a few tested their decision-making skills
